"THE CONSTITUTION OF MY HEART IS A FRAGILE THING, LIKE NEW DEMOCRACIES I'M FRAIL WITH THE SLIGHTEST NUDGE, A SPECIAL KIND OF LOVE"

this project has been in the works for nearly three years. these songs are really personal in a scary way, and because of that, it took a long time for me to feel comfortable with them - i had to wait for them to sink in. turning loneliness into catchy hooks has been my formula and so i wanted to go all in on what i do best: confessional pop dealing with matters of the heart. i didn’t originally set out to make songs specifically about entering and leaving a relationship (and all its consequences), but when i came out of that process, it was easy to make the connections and tell a story. a lot of it included mixing more classical pop references with modern anxieties of my own.

i have to thank all my collaborators and friends who made this possible and lent their talents to make the songs hit that much harder. a deep thank you to bizley, janghoon, landee, gigi, khai and AJ. i hope you give these heartbreak tunes a listen and let me know if they make you feel something.
